Executive Chairman
Mr. Jerry E. Massaga (Executive Chairman) and Managing Partner of TaxPro and Associates.
He is a member of The National Board of Accountants and Auditors, registered as an Associate Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice. He is as well a practicing financial advisor and analyst.
Jerry is a Certified Public Accountant (CPAT), a holder of Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy and he holds an MBA in International Business. Before joining TaxPro& Associates he worked in various positions for the National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania by then, being the leaders in the Insurance Industry where he raised to the rank of the Director of Finance and Administration.
In his professional career Mr. Massaga has been handling all aspects of business and specializing in Audit, Accounting, Taxation and business advisory services in diverse industries. He is an International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accredited partner and been involved in several IFRS conversions and has carried out internal trainings in Audit and Managing Finances of major International clients involved in development and manufacturing, Insurance, tourism, construction and real Estate. Mr Massaga has conducted various special assignments including financial consulting and advisory, special audits, due diligence assignments, tax compliance and financial Management advisory services.
Managing Director
Margaret R. Makwaia is the Managing Director/Partner
Margaret is a Registered Tax Consultant. She qualified as a Tax Assessor from the Institute of Tax Administration Dar Es Salaam. She is a holder of an Advanced Diploma in Certified Accountancy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Management and as well she holds a Bachelor Degree in Law. Margaret has practical expertise in all tax matters both local and international. She worked with the Tanzania Government, Ministry of Finance in the Income Tax Department. As a Senior Tax Assessor she was involved in carrying out tax audits on various taxpayers, examination of taxpayers’ financial statements & returns of income as well as tax compliance as a whole. Prior to joining Deloitte & Touché as a Senior Tax Consultant, Margaret worked as an Accountant with Kibo Breweries Limited.
Margaret’s experience in the public and private sectors service has developed her into an outstanding Tax Consultant. At Tax Professionals and while with Deloitte & Touché, Margaret has provided solutions through a wide range of tax services and related matters. The clientele base includes a mix of local, regional and multinational entities of a wide range of business sectors and sizes. She provides advice on Corporation tax, Payroll taxes, Withholding taxes, Value Added Tax, Stamp duty, Capital gains tax and Social security schemes.
Tax Manager
Salome M. Massaga is the Tax Manager.
Salome M. Massaga holds a Diploma in Law from the Institute of Judicial Adminstration. She is a holder of LLB (Hons) from RUAHA University College ( a constituate of St. Augustine University) IRINGA, LLM in Tax Law from the University of Cape Town, Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, she also a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths.
Salome has experience and both local and international law since our clientele consists of both local and international entities that are small, medium and large in size. She provides services such as Capital gains tax and Social security schemes Corporation tax, Payroll taxes, Withholding taxes, Value Added Tax, Stamp duty.
Apart from the Tax experience, she also offers Legal Advice, Legal Research and Corporate Law.
